After thoroughly testing out this tool for a few days, we found some very innovative features that we are going to discuss today.

• The best thing about Pixelied is its Icon and Vector Collection! You can find millions of illustrations and edit their colors according to your preference.
• Their roadmap looks quite good. Also, they are completing it at a quick pace. I found a lot of additional features when I used it recently compared to a few weeks back!

The cons

• It takes a long time to load the pre-designed images. Here, clearing your cache, or operating it in the Incognito mode rectifies the issue.
• The search bar is missing in the Illustrations tab.
• At present, there is no mobile app available for this tool. You can only work on Pixelied in the web version. I hope they will develop their mobile apps soon.
• Pixelied is only for designing images. You won’t get any options to add videos, music, or animations as you find in Crello or Canva.

Mockups

If you need to present your design to clients or bosses, Pixelied offers templates for mockups. This will allow you to visualize your design in context.

The mockups currently focus on screens: tablets, laptops, and TV screens. Below is an image of the item you would like to make the mockup.

As an example, we used the iPhone. You can click on the mockup to open the toolbar and find the “Edit Mockup Contents” button. You can click on this button to open the editor for the mockup. This is the mockup editor, for simplicity.

The mockup editor works in the same way as the main image editor. The mockup editor allows you to edit and add text, images, or elements. After you are done editing, click “Done Editing”.

You will be brought back to the main editor, where you can make final edits to the mockup.

Stocks Image

Pixelied integrates with Pixabay and Unsplash. This allows you to easily incorporate free stock images into your designs.

You can look at the images in the editor’s right sidebar and choose which sources you would like the image to come from.

This integration is absolutely amazing as it makes my workflow much more fluid without any additional tabs.

Click on “My Files” to upload your images.

Illustrations

Pixelied has a large collection of illustrations. Pixelied allows you to choose from 18 categories and then edit them directly in the editor.

You can also download the SVG files and reuse them later. This is a great feature.

Text

Pixelied lets you choose from hundreds of different font styles. What’s more? You can also upload custom fonts here.

Recently, they have also added the Live Fonts feature, which lets you preview the fonts by hovering your mouse pointer over them.

Once you are satisfied with any particular font, click on it to apply it on your design.

But the only limitation is that the pre-made font templates are limited.

Background remover

Background Remover is an incredible tool that allows you to remove any background from any image. It can be used in the editor to create images or separately.

After months of development and testing, Pixelied has launched its native background removal tool. It is extremely powerful and can erase backgrounds quickly and efficiently.

Brand Presets

This is the latest feature to be added to the Pixelied. The Brand Preset helps you alter the templates available to suit the brand’s definitions. You will find it in the left-hand sidebar when you choose an available workspace. A variety of brand presets are available to the workspace.

It allows you

• Add your brand logo
• Select the area in which your logo will appear
• Upload or choose the headline and subheadline fonts of your choice.
• Choose Your Brand colors.

It can support SVG, JPEG, and PNG formats for logos. However using the SVG format is preferred because it allows you to edit the color for the components.

After you’ve added your preset when you click the Brandify option on any template you’re creating, your brand definitions will be added on the templates. We really impressed with this option to make posts on social media that featured my personal branding.
